Canvas

Working together on canvas is at the heart of our practice. Our paintings combine two individual perspectives, drawing on people, place, architecture and everyday life to create works shaped by observation, imagination and storytelling.

Since making Aotearoa New Zealand our home, its landscapes, communities and changing urban environment have become an important part of our work, alongside the European influences that have shaped our practice.

We develop each painting together, from the first ideas and sketches through to the finished work, often working on the same canvas at the same time.
